4-places-to-get-amazing-coffee-in-manchester.jpg

As it's UK Coffee Week and coffee is our one true vice we thought we'd do a round up of our favourite places in Manchester to get your caffeine fix. So without further ado here's our top 4, in no particular order because all of these guys are doing something special in their own way...

Grindsmith

Probably the first Manchester coffee shop we fell in love with back when they only had their Kickstarter Funded pod in Greengate Square - they were doing exceptional coffee back then and they're still doing it now with 3 sites under their belt. Our favourite spot has to be their Deansgate shop, the perfect place to hideaway from the rain and do a bit of people watching through the floor to ceiling windows.

Liam's recommended order: Kalita Wave.

Danielle's recommended order: Flat White.

Foundation Coffee

The biggest on our list both in venue size and menu too. There's literally nothing these guys don't do so whether it's a macchiato, a cold brew, an aeropresss or a matcha you can guarantee these guys will nail it. Also, they're open past the daily grind (pun intended) so you can find yourself sipping away until 10pm for most of the week!

Liam's recommended order: Chemex.

Danielle's recommended order: Chai Latte.

Takk

The cosiest of all Manchester coffee shops, Takk is literally a home from home with a Nordic lounge feel to it. This place attracts people from all walks of life and everyone's welcome so whether your looking for a space to get your head down to work away or you're after a girly catch-up, Takk is for you.

Liam's recommended order: V60.

Danielle's recommended order: Flat White.

Ancoats Coffee Co

Our fave spot in Manchester's up and coming Ancoats (is it the new NQ yet?). Not only do they have an extensive drinks menu but their food menu is on point too with all sandwiches coming from our fave bakery, Pollen. But what makes them really stand out? These guys are roasting and selling their coffee on site and from the comfort of your seat with coffee cup in hand you can watch the whole process from fresh bean bags coming in to labelling up the final product for purchase.

Liam's recommended order: V60 - Go for their Kenyan coffee, it was pretty special.

Danielle's recommended order: Chai Latte.
