Steak tacos & tater tot burritos... new menu at Luck Lust Liquor & Burn

For us as long as we can remember, Luck Lust Liquor & Burn has been Manchester's king of the dirty burrito and being the sister restaurant to Almost Famous is probably the only reassurance you'd ever need to visit this place. Yes there's plenty of other spots doing pretty good Mexican food but if you want to get stuck in with sauce dripping down your hands, toppings spilling out all over the place and plenty of booze the decision is simple. Their new menu encompasses all of that; over the top messy food that you're going to have dripping down the side of your face - and we LOVE it!

There's bacon cheeseburger topped fries, burritos bursting with chipotle, halloumi & chorizo and smashed guac loaded with bacon rain - if the thought of all of that hasn't got you drooling you may need to check your pulse. The much coveted halloumi fries are a very nice addition to the menu, crispy on the outside and gooey in the middle with plenty of pomegranate and jalapeño lime mayo, addictive enough to have you fighting over the last one. Also the buttermilk fried cauliflower is pretty bomb too, served with chipotle sour cream & taco sauce.

The stand out has to be the fillet steak tacos which we'll 100% be returning for in the immediate future, seared Cajun fillet cheesesteak, onion, jalapeño mustard, avocado, jalapeño mayo, shoestring onion, lettuce, chipotle sour cream and taco sauce (with their new improved receipt), basically everything you'd love on a good steak sandwich but stuck inside a soft taco, crazy messy but so good. If burritos are your thing you'll wanna get your hands on the Fully Dressed, absolutely rammed full of sticky BBQ pork, dirty chicken, shoestring onions, tater tots, cheddar, rice, lettuce, pico de gallo, sweet BBQ and jalapeño lime mayo, certainly not for the faint hearted - for us this one was extremely impressive but just needed a little bit of hot sauce running through it to really bring it to life! That said, they do already have plenty that are full of hot sauce. Either way we'd eat it again!

Give us a shout if you go and try the new menu, we'd love to know what you think!
