Kebabs of the non-dirty variety in Manchester’s Northern Quarter
Bab NQ is one of the newest additions to Manchester’s Northern Quarter located just off Stephenson Square. No prizes for guessing what these guys are serving up because the clues in the name - that’s right, kebabs! Now these aren’t your 4am lathered in garlic sauce strange meaty concoction of a kebab, instead they’re carefully considered combinations of locally sourced produce, homemade sauces, tender meat all wrapped up in freshly baked breads. Not only that but there’s mezze dishes a plenty with freshly cooked octopus and a fig salad gracing the menu - we almost guarantee you won’t find that down your local greasy takeaway!
The star dish for this place has to be the Lamb Adana with feta labneh, radicchio and pomegranate a serious combination that we’d come back for time and time again, all the components just work perfectly. Our only small criticism is that it was a little salty for our palate but that could of been due to the fact that we also stuffed our faces with the Greek Fries (topped with tzatziki, feta, olives and chilli sauce), a dish that would naturally always have you grabbing that big pint of water (or beer!). Regardless of that we’d still come back time and time for that kebab alone. Anyway, enough words, we reckon these kebabs speak for themselves... *drool*
