Leeds International Beer Festival 2017

After visiting Leeds Beer Festival for the first time last year and being blown away by the event, we decided we'd definite be going again this year with friends in tow. Especially when it's only £6 a ticket for such a great event.

On top of the crazy amount of beers on offer from some of the top brewers around the world, there is the fascinating setting of Leeds Town Hall. The festival is set all across the town hall, in nearly every room including in the winding underground passages of the basement and therefore becomes a festival of real discovery, with a each different region from around the world occupying a different space in the building.

The festival takes place over 4 days with two sessions a day 12-5 and 6-11. Everyone gets a nice Leeds Beer Fest branded glass to keep and use during the festival, conveniently marked with the measures available on the day, thirds, half pints and a pint. When you arrive you swap money for tokens to spend whilst there and any unspent tokens can be sold back for a refund at the end of the day.

It has to be said that this year was even better than last year and we had some absolutely amazing beers from the likes of Cloudwater, Gypsy Hill, Kona, Brew by Numbers and Dry & Bitter just to name a few.

As designers it would be criminal if we didn't highlight just how nice the branding and advertising done by Drew Millward is for the festival too. We'd happily have the posters framed and up in the house and every time we use the festival glasses that little logo raises a smile.

Only in its 6th year this year, the festival can surely just get better and better. We'll definitely be back again in 2018 dragging even more people along with us.

Enough words, here's some pictures!
